Bihar wetlands where HPS sources makhana

Our Story

From Purnea ponds
to your pantry

HPS Organicary Foods Private Limited started in 2019 with a clear brief: roast Bihar fox nuts carefully, label them honestly, and let customers verify the pack with one scan.

Where we began

A kitchen idea with a wetland address

We are based in Ward-10, Milki, Purnea — not a distant brand office pretending to know Bihar. Makhana grows in the state's wetland belt, and that is where we buy, grade, and roast.

Early on, we saw the same problem shoppers still mention: packs that look premium but feel stale, oily, or impossible to trace. HPS was built to close that gap — small-batch roasting, short ingredient lists, and a company page behind every QR.

How we work

Three promises we keep packing

  1. Buy close to the pondWe source lotus seed from Bihar growers and wetland traders we can call — not anonymous bulk lots with no memory of where they came from.
  2. Roast in controlled lotsClassic 100g and flavoured 10g sachets — Masala, Haldi, Peri Peri, Pudina, Chilli Garlic, Pink Salt, Tomato — are finished in batches we can taste and adjust. The aim is a light snap, not a greasy coating.
  3. Put the company on the packScan the HPS QR and you land on our official passport — address, phone, email, and product notes. No mystery label.
HPS field team in Bihar

People & place

Field days before flavour days

Before a new roast run, we check seed size, dryness, and smell. Our field team walks the Bihar belt so the kitchen is not guessing what arrived in the sack.

You may have seen us at Explore India Organic Products — that trip was simple: show what a Purnea company can put in a pack when it stays close to the crop.

What's next

Taste the story across our packs

Start with Classic Premium if you want the seed alone. Reach for Masala, Peri Peri, or Chilli Garlic when chai needs heat. Choose Haldi, Pudina, Pink Salt, or Tomato for milder evening and travel snacks.
